about

Much of this recording happened over a weekend in the autumn of 1996 at my then workspace. Rob, Mike, Harri and I had played most of the material over the years previous so we decided to record live-off-the-floor to 2 inch tape. The rented tape machine proved to be balky but thanks to John, Ormond and Patrick from Teletech, we kept moving. More problematic was Mike calling in sick on Saturday. By begging I got him to drag himself in for six hours on Sunday. The intense need to focus, perhaps, worked to our advantage, but I'm not so sure Mike's mom will ever speak to me again. Of course money is the main reason it's taken so long to get this finished. I'm very grateful for the continued support I've received from my long time associates. JM 2013
